General FAQs

Should I visit a branch before the upgrade?

If you anticipate needing special in-branch transactions, we recommend completing them before offices close on Friday, June 26.

While debit and credit cards are expected to work normally, customers may wish to keep some extra cash available in case of unexpected service disruptions during the transition weekend.

You can update your information by:

  • Logging in to Online Banking
  • Visiting any Cecil Bank office
  • Calling (410) 398-1650

Customers are encouraged to:

  • Verify their address, phone number, and email
  • Mark their calendars for the June 26–29 upgrade weekend
  • Watch for additional communications and instructions

The following services may be temporarily unavailable during the upgrade weekend:

  • Online and Mobile Banking
  • Bill Pay
  • Mobile deposit
  • Online transfers
  • ATMs at Cecil Bank locations*

*Availability may vary by location.

The FDIC treats merged banks as separately insured for at least six months after conversion, giving customers time to review coverage. For most accounts, this period runs from February 1, 2026 to August 1, 2026.

Yes. Your deposits remain protected. Ephrata National Bank is an FDIC-member bank, and eligible deposits are insured up to federal limits.

No. Your maturity dates, interest rates, APY, and distribution schedule will remain unchanged.

No action is required. Starting June 29, 2026, IRA rollovers and transfers will automatically move under the trustee care of Ephrata National Bank.

No. Your interest rate, APY, and maturity date will remain the same until your CD matures.

Yes. You can update your preferences at any Ephrata National Bank Community Banking Office or by contacting us at (877) 773-6605.

Under standard consumer overdraft practices:

  • Up to 6 overdraft items per day may be charged
  • Maximum fee is $37 per day
  • No overdraft fee is charged for transactions of $5.00 or less
  • No fee is charged if your account is overdrawn by $10.00 or less

No. Your current overdraft preferences for ATM withdrawals, debit card transactions, checks, ACH debits, and recurring payments will automatically transfer to Ephrata National Bank.

Yes. CDs and club accounts will continue receiving statements on their existing annual cycles, with no interruption.

Yes, most accounts will move to standard Ephrata National Bank statement cycles:

  • Personal checking & money market: Monthly statement on the 26th
  • Personal savings: Quarterly statements beginning June 30
  • Business accounts: No change (remain end-of-month)
  • Club accounts: Annual statement in the month of yearly transfer
  • Certificates of Deposit (CDs): Annual statement at year-end

Yes. All Cecil Bank deposit and savings accounts will receive a final paper statement on June 26, 2026 at conversion.

Yes. In some cases, availability may be delayed beyond the next business day. If this occurs, funds will generally be available no later than the seventh business day after deposit.

Yes. The following deposits are typically available the same day they are received:

  • Electronic direct deposits
  • Cash deposits
  • Checks drawn on Ephrata National Bank (including former Cecil Bank accounts)

Funds from deposits made on or after June 29, 2026 will generally be available on the next business day after the deposit is received at Ephrata National Bank.

No, your account numbers will not change. You will maintain your Cecil Bank account numbers after the transition to ENB’s systems.

Yes, you can continue using your Cecil Bank checks after the transition to ENB’s systems. Following the transition, you will receive a mailing providing you an option to order new checks if needed.

Yes, you can continue using your Cecil Bank debit card after the transition to ENB’s systems. A debit card replacement cycle will occur in July following the transition. A debit card will be mailed to you, and no action is required on your end. Activation instructions will be included with your new ENB Debit Card when it is issued.

Timeline

When is the conversion to Ephrata National Bank happening?

Ephrata National Bank will complete its conversion of Cecil Bank systems from June 26–29, 2026.

On Friday, June 26:

  • Rising Sun and Fair Hill branches close at 4:00 p.m.
  • Elkton and North East branches close at 5:00 p.m.
  • Online and Mobile Banking will become unavailable beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Yes, but only until 4:00 p.m. After that time, Online and Mobile Banking will be temporarily unavailable while systems are converted.

During Saturday and Sunday, June 27–28:

  • All former Cecil Bank branches will remain closed
  • Online and Mobile Banking will remain unavailable
  • Account systems will be in the process of conversion to Ephrata National Bank

No. Account access will be temporarily unavailable during the conversion weekend. Full access will be restored on Monday, June 29.

Former Cecil Bank branches will reopen on Monday, June 29 at 9:00 a.m. as Ephrata National Bank Community Banking Offices.

On Monday, June 29:

  • The conversion will be complete
  • Branches will reopen at 9:00 a.m. as ENB Community Banking Offices
  • Online and Mobile Banking, Telephone Banking, and in-branch services will be fully available

You will be able to use all Ephrata National Bank services, including updated Online and Mobile Banking, in-person banking at Community Banking Offices, and Telephone Banking.

No immediate action is required, but you should plan ahead since account access, branches, and digital banking will be temporarily unavailable during the transition.

Updates and important information will be shared through this FAQ page. Any important communications during the transition weekend will come through email from Ephrata National Bank.

ATMs

Will there be ATMs at Ephrata National Bank's Cecil County locations?

Yes. All Ephrata National Bank Community Banking Offices will feature Express Banking ATMs for your convenience, offering both withdrawals and deposits.

Yes. Express Banking ATMs at ENB Community Banking Offices allow for both cash withdrawals and deposits.

You can continue to use the nationwide Allpoint Network for fee-free withdrawals at participating ATMs. You can also use ENB’s own ATM locations. Find the closest Allpoint ATM to you by using our locator at https://www.epnb.com/atms/.

Express Banking ATMs are ENB-owned machines located at Community Banking Offices that allow you to quickly complete everyday banking tasks like withdrawing cash and making deposits.

No. You will still have access to the Allpoint Network, and in addition, each ENB Community Banking Office in Cecil County will have an Express Banking ATM available.

You can use the ATM locator to quickly find nearby Allpoint or ENB ATM locations. You can also access this locator within Ephrata National Bank Online Banking or the Ephrata National Bank Mobile Banking App.

No. You can continue using your existing debit card after the transition to access ATMs, including both ENB Express Banking ATMs and the Allpoint network.

Yes, Cecil Bank customers can use ATMs at any ENB Community Banking Office without being charged a fee.

Cecil Bank branches will continue to offer ATM services. ATMs will be upgraded in phases and may be temporarily unavailable prior to or during conversion weekend. Keep an eye out for more communications from us for details on our refresh schedule as specifics are finalized.

As a reminder, Cecil Bank is part of the Allpoint ATM Network, providing access to more than 55,000 ATMs worldwide. You can find Allpoint ATMs at convenient locations like Target, Costco, Walgreens, Wawa, and CVS. These ATMs will remain available for fee-free withdrawals before and throughout conversion weekend.

Mobile Banking

Will I need a new username or password for Online Banking?

No. Former Cecil Bank Online and Mobile Banking users will be able to log in to Ephrata National Bank Online Banking using their existing Cecil Bank username and password.

Beginning June 29 at 9:00 a.m., you can access Online Banking by visiting EPNB.com and logging in from the homepage using your existing credentials.

Yes. During your first login, you may be asked to complete a one-time identity verification process. This may include:

  • Your username
  • Social Security number (or EIN for business accounts)
  • One Cecil Bank account number
    You may also be asked to confirm additional details such as your date of birth, phone number, or ZIP code.

You will have 60 days from your first login attempt to complete verification. After 60 days, or if verification attempts are unsuccessful, you will need to contact Ephrata National Bank for assistance to reset your access.

You will use the Ephrata National Bank Mobile Banking App. After June 29:

  • Search “Ephrata National Bank” in your app store and download the new app
  • Log in using your existing Online Banking credentials

Starting June 29, selecting the existing Cecil Bank app will redirect you to your app store to download the new Ephrata National Bank Mobile Banking App. Once downloaded, you can log in using your current credentials.

Select “Enroll” on the Online Banking login page at EPNB.com and follow the prompts to create your account.

Yes. While your login credentials and account information remain the same, you’ll notice a refreshed design along with new features and tools designed to improve your banking experience.

No. Bill Pay will be unavailable beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26 and will remain unavailable throughout the conversion weekend as systems transition to Ephrata National Bank.

Your existing payees and any scheduled or recurring payments will automatically transfer to the new system. No action is required from you.

Transaction history will not be available during the conversion period. It will become available again on or around July 1.

Any requests to transfer funds between accounts should be submitted in your current Cecil Bank online banking system before 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26.

Yes. All recurring and scheduled internal transfers that are set up prior to the cutoff time will remain in place and continue as normal.

No. Your payees, scheduled payments, and internal transfers will carry over automatically as part of the transition to Ephrata National Bank.

Yes. All former Cecil Bank customers will have access to Zelle® through Ephrata National Bank Online Banking and the Ephrata National Bank Mobile Banking App.

To enroll after the transition weekend, log in to the ENB Mobile Banking App, go to “Move Money,” then select “Send Money with Zelle®.” Follow the prompts to complete enrollment and begin sending and receiving money.

Zelle® allows you to send fast, convenient, and private payments to friends, family, and others you trust directly from your ENB Online or Mobile Banking account.

Card Suite Lite is ENB’s debit card management tool available through Online and Mobile Banking. It allows you to manage and control your debit card activity in real time.

With Card Suite Lite, you can:

  • Turn your debit card on or off
  • Set location-based controls
  • Manage spending limits
  • Access additional card controls and security features

Bill Pay is a secure and convenient way to manage and pay your bills directly within Ephrata National Bank Online Banking or the Ephrata National Bank Mobile Banking App. Once enrolled, you can add payees, schedule one-time or recurring payments, and track payment activity in one place.

After logging into Online or Mobile Banking, navigate to Bill Pay and follow the prompts to enroll, add payees, and begin scheduling payments.

Yes. ENB Online and Mobile Banking allows you to securely transfer funds between your ENB accounts and external accounts at other financial institutions.

Log in to Online or Mobile Banking, go to the Accounts section, select “Connect An Account,” and enter your external account’s routing and account number. Once linked, you can begin transferring funds.

Loans

Will my loan account number, interest rate, or terms change after the conversion?

No. If you currently have a Cecil Bank Consumer Loan or Personal Line of Credit, your account number, interest rate, terms, and conditions will remain the same unless you are notified otherwise.

As of June 29, 2026, you can make payments in any of the following ways:

  • In person at any Ephrata National Bank Community Banking Office
  • Online at EPNB.com
  • By mail to:

Yes. If you currently have automatic payments set up on your loan or line of credit, they will continue without any action required from you.

If you have a Cecil Bank Home Equity Line of Credit, your account number, interest rate, terms, and conditions will remain the same unless you are notified otherwise.

Your mortgage or home equity loan will transition to Ephrata National Bank. You will receive a detailed mailing in early June with everything you need to know about the transition.

In most cases, no action is required. Existing payment setups and automatic payments will continue as normal.

You can visit any Ephrata National Bank Community Banking Office or contact Ephrata National Bank at (877) 773-6605 directly for assistance. Staff will be available to help guide you through the transition.

Business Customers

Will my online banking account remain the same?

In most cases, your online banking username, password, balances, transaction history, and account access will remain unchanged during the transition to Ephrata National Bank. However, some business customers may notice updates to the structure of their online banking profile as accounts are converted to ENB’s business online banking format.

Depending on how your current profile is set up, you may need to complete additional steps such as designating a primary business or focus user, completing the Boarding Pass process, or enrolling separately for personal online banking access. Any customers requiring additional action will receive direct communication with detailed instructions prior to conversion weekend.

Customer Appreciation Day

When is Customer Appreciation Day?

All ENB Community Banking Offices in Cecil County will celebrate Customer Appreciation Day during office hours on Tuesday, July 7.

ENB will celebrate Cecil Bank customers and the completion of their transition to Ephrata National Bank at all Cecil County Community Banking Offices. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy snacks, refreshments, and giveaway items at any office location. Plus, stop by and enter our raffle to win a pair of hot air balloon tickets.
